Blue Möbius: The Messengers Revisited Modus is a new quintet that style themselves after the 1950s and 1960s hard bop scene from the United States’ east coast. The group has a collection of original compositions as well as popular standards from the era by well-known groups such as The Jazz Messengers and Horace Silver’s quintet. Their selection incorporates rhythms and harmonies that separated hard-bop from the concurrent west-coast jazz and its bebop predecessor, and helped pave the way for the free jazz and fusion styles.

The group consists of Josh Schaffer (US) on tenor saxophone, Gaun Cochran (CA) on trumpet, Tim Yeh (TW) on keyboard/piano, ChihYang Hsieh (TW) on double bass, and Jeffrey Lee (TW) on drums.
