Alastair Cusick

began piano/organ lessons at 7 years of age and his natural talent in jazz and classical music was quickly recognized.

At 12 years of age Alastair undertook his first professional job when he began performing in working men’s clubs providing the backing for various cabaret acts. This was to be the catalyst for Alastair to hone his sight reading skills and musicianship and be able to perform under pressure with minimal rehearsal time.

After two years at music college where Alastair received a full diploma in Music he set sail on his musical adventure by travelling the world performing on a series of cruise ships. As well as playing solo piano he performed with the feature show band supporting the main shows and all entertainment.

Since his time on the cruise ships Alastair has toured various countries working with household names and stars such as Shirley Bassey, Neil Diamond, Neil Sedaka, Mickey Rooney and Iris Williams but to name a few.

Alastair then spent 6 months New York City featuring regularly in the most popular jazz clubs before moving to London. During his time in London he spent several years performing in the West End working on infamous musical productions such as Andrew Lloyd Webbers “Phantom of the opera” and “Les Miserable”. He was also a frequent performer at some of London’s best known and prestigious Jazz clubs such as Ronnie Scotts, 606 club, and Jazz Pizza Express.

Alastair has lived in the UAE and Dubai now for the last 10 years and

has performed in all of the big hotels both as a solo artist and in bands. He has had several residencies in top hotels and is one of the most respected pianists in the country and is always in demand for private and corporate work.
