The group was formed by Martin ‘Musa’ Musaubach in 2011 in Beijing with the idea of forming a trio to host a weekly Jam Session on Thursdays at one of China’s hot spots for Jazz and Blues Music, CD Blues. Those memorable Jam Sessions became the place to be for all the foreign musicians working in China’s capital and what started as a hobby to release some steam ended up being for this 3 musicians, the beginning of a great adventure in the Asian Music Scene.
To define MUSA’s with a word, that should be Brotherhood. That’s what this band is about. When you see their performance live the only feeling that comes out of the stage is Love, no matter what they play, whether it is Astor Piazzolla, Chick Corea, or Original Pieces, a soft and sad ballad or an extremely fast and pyrotechnical latin jazz piece, you can see, listen and feel the Joy they have just to be able to play together and share it in front of an audience.
