Denis Chang is a professional jazz meme maker by day, and, by night, he plays jazz. He divides his time between Montreal, Tokyo, and Taipei. He is also often found all over the USA, Europe, and Canada. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he has found himself stuck in Taiwan for the whole year.

He has worked with many artists that most people wouldn’t recognize unless they’re super jazz nerds, so it’s meaningless to write names. Sometimes, he writes fake names that mean something else in another language and is always delighted when mainstream media quotes the fake names.

For this concert, he has gathered some of Taiwan’s best musicians. This will be a special concert as we will make it a point to play without sheet music or tablets on stage. All the music is committed to memory so we can focus on the music and interaction.
