The Matt Fullen NonOrgan Group has no bass player. On purpose. We hope that you like the fat bass sounds (and all the other sounds) that we make without a bass player. Thank you.

Keyboard: Matt Fullen（傅麥特）

在理論作曲方面，大學期間師事於 Dr. Paul Elwood，亦陸續接受 John McLaird、KrisFalk、趙菁文等作曲教授的指導。在爵士樂即興方面，曾師事於 Dana Landry、Steve Barta、Art Lande、Adam Benjamin 門下。

自2013年擔任歌手王若琳演出鍵盤手至今，為演出樂團團長，隨之巡演至台灣、中國各地、香港、紐約、英國格拉斯頓伯里音樂節…等。擅長演奏經典爵士樂、現代爵士樂、搖擺樂，現在致力於多元樂風、多元藝術媒體創作與演出。作曲與鋼琴手，演奏Matthew的爵士創作曲。2015年他會出他的第一個专辑。

Matthew Fullen was born and grew up in Colorado, in the United States, and earned his Bachelor of Music Composition from the University of Northern Colorado, studying under Dr. Paul Elwood. He has also studied composition with John McLaird, Kris Falk, and Chingwen Chao, and has studied jazz/improvisation with Dana Landry, Steve Barta, Art Lande, and Adam Benjamin.

Matthew began serving as bandleader for the singer Joanna Wang in 2013 and continues to do so. Both with Joanna and with others he performs regularly in Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong, and has also performed in New York City and Glastonbury, England. He plays jazz standards, swing music, and modern jazz in a variety of settings, including with many vocalists. In March, 2015, he recorded and will release his first album, entitled Intuition.

Drums: Adam James Sorensen

Born in Chicago, Adam James Sorensen has spent time living in New York City, Edinburgh, Salt Lake City, Taipei and Berlin. He has performed and toured both as a bandleader, and has worked with jazz artists such as Scott Hamilton, Melvin Sparks, Keith Tippett, Barbara Morrison, Nostalgia 77, David Berkman, Herb Geller, Bobby Wellins, YuYing Hsu, Tony Monaco and Peter King. He played on Yu Ying Hsu’s 2010 record, Untitled, which won both jazz recording of the year, and best jazz single in Taiwan ’10. In addition to his jazz background, he has also performed and recorded with rock and folk artists such as The Blood Oranges, Amy Allison, Neil Cleary, Jerry Joseph, John Carlin and Megan Peters.

Sorensen has recorded and toured internationally both as a drummer, and as a singer songwriter/guitarist. He released his solo debut, MIDWEST, in 2012. Sorensen lived in New York City until 2005, and while there earned a BFA in jazz performance from New School University. He has studied with jazz legends such as Geri Allen, Gregory Hutchinson, Carl Allen, Ari Hoenig, Peter Bernstein, Jane Ira-Bloom, Hal Galper, and many others. Guitar: Daniel Brustman

Daniel Brustman has played the guitar for longer than he cares to admit. He spent the past decade in Beijing working with the Grammy-award winning R&B singer Hazel Payne, French-Canadian chanteuse Marie-Claude Lebel, Voice of China’s Hu Haiquan (中國好聲音 – 胡海泉) and Zhang Ling (中國好歌曲 – 張岭).

畢業於台⼤心理系, 從小學習古典鋼琴的Jacob, 在大學時栽入了吉他的世界. 退伍後的第⼀份工作是在⽩⾦錄⾳室當錄⾳助理. 2008年的秋天前往美國波 士頓百克里⾳樂學院(Berklee College of Music)進修, 主修吉他演奏, 並鑽研爵 士樂及和聲理論, 亦是校內Harris Stanton Award的獲奬人.

2011夏天回台後積極參與⼤小不同類型風格的演出, 從爵士樂, 福音樂, 到搖滾樂, 流行樂的演出, 都看得到Jacob的身影. 除了在台北的Jazz Club, 咖啡 廳不定時的演出, 亦曾是Live House Brown Sugar的駐場吉他⼿, 參與好消息電 視台的錄影. 合作的對象包括, 胡德夫, 陶喆, 曹格, 品冠, 王若琳, 吳克羣, 關詩 敏, 古巨基, etc.

音樂製作⽅面, Jacob曾在偉⼤文化/新歌有限公司擔任製作統籌及錄⾳室管理 職務, 參與許多主流/非主流音樂的製作, 包括陶喆, 關詩敏, 杜德偉, 楊宗緯, 家 家, Dream Girls, etc. 代表的編曲作品有, ”張韶涵 – If I’m The One For You”, “梁 ⽂文⾳音 – 每⼀一次戀愛”, “夏⽶米雅 – 未完待續”, 等等.

Saxophones: Kevin James

Born in the Great Lakes region of North America, near the southwest shore of lake Erie. Began studying Saxophone at Age 9, and has 40 years experience on the instrument. Performed as a side man on many recordings. Attended University of Toledo on a full music scholarship, University of Maryland (European Campus) studying Art and Anthropology, Dr.Hoch’s Konservatorium and Frankfurt Musik HochSchule. Spent nearly 15 years living in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Toured and Performed in more than 20 countries in Europe, North America, North Africa, the Middle East, China and Japan with a variety of Bands, Music groups, and organizations. Has experience teaching Jazz Improvisation and Saxophone Performance in both English and German languages. Worked in quality control and product development of saxophones for Allbest Musical Instruments Co.,Ltd, makers of the P.Mauriat Saxophone. Has performed with a very large number of International Singers. Performed 9 years in „Brown Sugar“ Live Music Club from 2005-2014. Performed at the Taichung Jazz festival in 2007 and 2012. Was a judge in the semifinal round of the 2013 Taichung Saxophone competition
