Hybrid musician, Cedric Hanriot likes to blend styles and to work with artists from various backgrounds. This past years, he worked for Herbie Hancock and took part of Dianne Reeves last album « Beautiful Life », with Robert Glasper and Esperanza Spalding.
His trio groOovematic offers a unique mix of jazz, electro, groove and pop. Combining acoustic and electronic music, this trio discover new, inexplored musical paths and sounds. Created at the beginning of 2011 with bassist Bertrand Beruard and drummer Jean-Baptiste Pinet, the group has already shared numerous hours of performance time together on the international stages of Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Argentina, Uruguay and Europe.
groOovematic’s first album will be released in September 2014 on Whirlwind Recordings Ltd (London, NYC).
