Analogue Sound performs a distinctive mix of groove-based Jazz.  Highly influenced by the 60’s Blue Note era, Analogue Sound combines both classic and modern influences to create a propulsive, funk drenched sound.

Born in Chicago, Adam James Sorensen left the Midwest at age 19. Living in Salt Lake City, New York City, Edinburgh, Taipei and Berlin, he has performed with jazz artists such as Scott Hamilton, Melvin Sparks, Keith Tippett, Barbara Morrison, Nostalgia 77, David Berkman, Herb Geller, Bobby Wellins, YuYing Hsu, Tony Monaco and Peter King. He has also performed and recorded with rock, Americana and folk artists such as The Blood Oranges, Neil Cleary, Jerry Joseph, John Carlin and Megan Peters. Adam has toured both nationally and abroad as a drummer, bandleader, and as a singer songwriter/guitarist. After recording on numerous jazz and singer/songwriter records as a sideman, he released his debut as a singer/songwriter, MIDWEST, in 2012. While living and performing in New York City from 1999 – 2005, Sorensen earned a BFA in jazz performance from New York’s liberal arts college, The New School.
