Flávio Lira de Oliveira

來自巴西的Flavio是一位多才多藝的音樂家，現活躍於美國東岸波士頓、羅德島、紐約等地，彈奏貝斯和7弦吉他，主修Bass演奏，並獲美國伯克利音樂學院獎學金。Favio擅長熱情的森巴、騷沙、Choro曲風，並於與多位知名的巴西藝人或樂團合作演出，包括Dudu Nobre 、Leandro Lehart、Hector Tricoche、Wilmer Lozano、Ray de La Paz、Luisito Carrion、Adalberto Santiago和伯克利音樂學院教師 Eguie Castrillo, Fernando Brandão, Ricardo Monzon, Bertram Lehmann, Matt Jenson, Annette Phillip等人

Flavio亦參與多張古巴音樂專輯之製作及編曲，其帶領的樂團ChoroBop三重奏更在據指標性的紐約Blue Note和波士頓交響樂廳獲得迴響。

 

​​Flavio Lira is a versatile musician, he plays acoustic and electric bass, 7 string acoustic guitar and also works as a composer, arranger and producer. He’s currently working with different groups and playing a wide variety of musical styles, such as samba, cuban music, choro and jazz.

Currently based in Boston-USA, Flavio Lira is currently attending Berklee College of Music with a scholarship in the Bass Performance major.

After two years of moving to Boston, Flavio is already performing steadly in the local and in the New England scenes, having performed in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and Vermont states.

Notable names that he has performed in the New England area include brazilian artists Dudu Nobre and Leandro Lehart. As a part of the Franky Rodriguez y Homenage a La Salsa group, he has played with salsa singers Hector Tricoche, Wilmer Lozano, Ray de La Paz, Luisito Carrion, Adalberto Santiago and others. He also performs steadly with Berklee faculty, such as Eguie Castrillo, Fernando Brandão, Ricardo Monzon, Bertram Lehmann, Matt Jenson, Annette Phillip, and others.

He also is part of the ChoroBop Trio, a brazilian and contemporary music trio that has performed in the Blue Note in NYC, in the Boston Symphony Hall and other great venues.

畢業於美國明尼蘇達大學、之後繼續於洛杉磯音樂家學院MI(Musicians Institute)進修並榮獲榮譽學生。畢業後繼續在MI校擔任助教以及音樂活動。而後回日本在MI-Japan名古屋校擔任教師，2003年來到台灣 ★在演出方面，曾在國家戲劇院、國家音樂廳、美國的BB King’s、日本的次郎吉(JIROKICHI)、日本Miya Jazz Inn Festival、台中爵士音楽節等有名的地方表演。 ★並曾和Grammy葛來美獎歌手Hazel Payne、也葛來美獎歌手藍調女王KoKo Tayler樂團吉他手菊田俊介先生、前IBC 世界冠軍Joey Gilmore, 藍調大師Albert King楽団的前貝斯手Melvin Lee, 爵士吉他大師Jeff Richman, 紐西蘭毛利族最受稱讚的歌手Whirimako Black等世界知名樂手共同演出。2005年在「克萊斯勒&ICRT爵士比賽」獲得冠軍。也成為Cadeson凱徳森楽器的代言人。現在担任謝宇威楽団的鼓手還有在台灣從事常態性的職業演出。

Pianist: Eddie Lin林子耘 目前在Muddy Basin Ramblers、Soup Mother樂團擔任鋼琴及Keyboard手。喜愛Jazz、Blues、Funk、Soul等曲風。

Versatile musician, Flavio Lira has played with groups from many different styles, such as samba, afro-caribbean music, choro, classical music, and jazz.

• Performs with several groups in the Boston Area, such as Homenage a la Salsa, Grupo Camarote, ChoroBop, Eguie Castrillo Big Band, Eguie Castrillo and the Latin Jazz Connection, Ricardo Monzon Orchestra, Women of the World and others.

2015:

• With Franky Rodriguez y Homenaje a la Salsa, performed with several salsa artists that come to the New England area to perform, such as Wilmer Lozano, Luisito Carrion, Adalberto Santiago, Ray de La Paz and others.
• Played in Blue Note Jazz Club with ChoroBop.
• With Women of the World did a one month long tour over Japan and China, visiting 15 cities with 18 performances.
• Played in several jazz festivals in the Boston area such as Cambridge Jazz Festival, Beantown Jazz Festival, Hyde Park Jazz Festival and others.

2014:

• Played the tour of brazilian samba singer Dudu Nobre through the northern east coast, with shows in New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
• Played the tour of brazilian samba singer Leandro Lehart in New Jersey and Massachussetts.
• Presented, along with Eduardo Mercuri, Julio Santos and Anne Santos, the clinic The Fundamentals of Samba, lecturing about the samba rhythm for the Berklee College of Music community.
• Performed the show Bassin’ the Choro as a leader, playing a repertoire based in different brazilian genres.

2013:

• Two concerts in Ibirapuera Auditorium, in São Paulo, with the Familia Lovborgs show, under the direction of Andre Abujamra.
• Production and recording of the 2nd album of the cuban music band El Merekumbé, with 5 arrangements and production.
