melancholic…..the honest, thoughtful songwriting craft of the band still
shines through”

“I couldn’t imagine a two piece act engulfing a hyper-packed music
festival until I watched these guys”
-Dennis R. Briones, Xtasea Music Festival, ShenZhen, China
“There were some really spellbinding moments. A certain observer suggested
that it is a new truism that whenever The Bollands
play, it is good. Well, they certainly did play. And it was good”

Always on the road, New Zealand folk duo The Bollands have been singing
their infectious foot stomping folk songs since 2011. With their love of
travel, music, good friends & fine wine, They have gained a reputation for
their passion filled live shows and heartfelt folk tunes.
Their energetic, foot-stomping music stems from their upbringing in the
folk and roots music scenes in small towns and folk clubs throughout New
Zealand.
Joyce, a classically trained pianist, met Christian, a hairy folk singer,
at a campfire jam on a remote beach in their home country, New Zealand.
They clicked instantly. Since that fate filled night, they have been
playing their passion filled songs on the road throughout The world.
The Bollands have had the privilege of sharing the stage with
international artists such as Chris Garneau (USA), Rodney Fisher
(Goodshirt, New Zealand), Little Fish (U.K.), The Bads (New Zealand), Sun
Eskimos (Hong Kong) and in April 2015 they will be heading to the USA for
the first time to tour with American Singer/songwriter Vienna Teng.
The Bollands have performed live on Hong Kong’s well known TV show RTHK
(Radio Television Hong Kong) ‘The Works’ which has included other
international acts such as Jason Miraz.
In 2014 RTHK Radio 3 asked The Bollands to host and curate their own 8
week radio show where they performed live, and showcased some of their
favorite bands.

The Red Cliff are a rock/folk/jazz group comprised of two central members, Mark Darvill (vocals, guitar) and Caleb Cole (vocals, bass, and guitar) from England and the United States respectively. Formed shortly after their arrival to Taiwan in 2009, the Red Cliff incorporate elements of Rock and Roll, English and American folk, Jazz and Funk music. The Red Cliff feature numerous original songs with driving melodies and technical instrumentation. Veterans of Rock in their own countries, the Red Cliff are poised to dazzle the Taiwanese music scene with frequent regularity.
